Have your say!

The Scamander-Beaumaris Structure Plan will create a shared vision and guide future land uses in Scamander and Beaumaris.

We want to hear from local community about what you love about the area, and your hopes for the future of your towns. We’re also seeking your ideas for improvements at the Scamander Sports and Community Complex.

There’s lots of ways to get involved and help shape the project. There will also be more opportunities to share feedback on the draft Structure Plan later this year.

The first round of community consultation occurred in July and August. We are now preparing a Draft Structure Plan, which will be published later this year.

  • During the first round of community consultation held in July and August we received:

    • 700+ visitors to the project website

    • 55+ people attending a pop-up session

    • 130 responses to the online survey

    • 11 written submissions

We have now published the Consultation Summary which outlines what the local community had to say.

  • This discussion paper provides a snapshot of the current state of Scamander and Beaumaris, their character, strengths, and challenges, and includes an early analysis of future trends to inform the direction for community engagement and the key focus areas for the structure plans for each settlement.
